8-9 October

Brixton’s 200-year-old mill opens its doors for public tours from 9 April until 9 October.  The guided tours are free, and are scheduled on the second weekend of each month, with a few on event days and some extra days in September.

9-17 October

The South East London arts trail is back for another year, featuring over 100 artists in over 40 local venues. It’s all in support of local artists, and bolsters the area’s abundant street art. There’s plenty of opportunities to get involved, either by participating yourself or just as a spectator.

14-23 October

An annual festival celebrating the area’s rich history and culture with events taking place in various venues around Bloomsbury. Events in previous years have included street parties, dance and music performances, scientific workshops, interactive games, themed walks and talks.

Cheer on the long-distance runners along the world-famous 26 mile course. Starting in Greenwich Park, and finishing at The Mall, SW1, there is always a huge crowd and an exciting atmosphere.

9 October

Cheer on runners and do some Sunday sightseeing at the same time. The Royal Parks Half Marathon passes a host of famous landmarks along its 13.1 mile route. These include Trafalgar Square, the London Eye and Buckingham Palace.

Grab a bit of culture along with your meal deal and head over to the London Symphony Orchestra at St Luke’s in Old Street for a free lunchtime concert.

Remembrance Sunday

Remembrance Sunday is celebrated every second Sunday of November, on November 13 this year. Initially, the closest Sunday to Armistice Day or Remembrance Day (November 11), Remembrance Sunday is held in the U.K. to celebrate the bravery of the British and Commonwealth soldiers who fought in World War I and II.

This Support Meeting will take place on the last Sunday of every month at The Charing Cross Library.

This group is led by like-minded people with lived experience.
